Brian joined our team with 28 years of experience serving in the California State Police Department. As a retired office, Brian brings almost three decades of experience in volatile situations and has a wealth of advice and knowledge to share with his clients. During his career he had the honor of working with the Orange County Sheriff department where we worked in Corrections. Prior to that, he was with the Oceanside Police Department where he worked patrol, Gangs, Vice, Robbery, and Homicide. He is no stranger to the lasting impact violence can have on individuals and on the communities in which we live.
He retired from the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office after years as a Supervising Investigator. During his time as a Supervising Investigator he worked assignments relating to Gangs, Family Protection, and General Investigations. Brian has also been a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force in conjunction with the FBI, Fugitive Task Force working alongside the U.S. Marshalls. In addition, he also worked in the San Diego County Regional Auto Theft Task Force.
Brian has been invested in sharing knowledge for over 30 years, teaching part time at the MiraCosta College in San Diego where he teaches Administration of Justice Courses. This is in line with his experiences as a Range Master for Firearms training and a certified Firearms Instructor for the District Attorney’s office. He has been integral in developing the Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified training program for Witness and Dignitary Protection, Flying Armed and Gang Abatement. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2006 and gained his masters at the National University in Forensic Sciences, Forensic Science and Technology.
He has trained internationally, traveling to Abu Dhabi in the Middle East to train the Royal Police Force in Interview and Interrogation tactics, Crime Analysis and Surveillance.
When Brian is not putting your safety first, he can be found surfing. He loves to go off-roading and fresh water mountain fishing. He is never one to stop learning and attends conferences around the country to keep him up to date on topics and techniques used by the FBI and Law Enforcement. Techniques and knowledge he implements when he trains his clients.
